CRL White Dap® Latex Window Glazing Compound is one of the best compound for back-bedding and face-glazing window sash. It easily adheres to wood, aluminium, steel and galvanized sash for a weathertight seal. Make sure that the surface is free of frost and is completely clean and dry before applying this compound. It can be directly applied from the cartridge as it has a smooth texture and does not require kneading. It resists shrinkage and cracking. The 10.1 fl. oz. Excess glazing can be removed with soap and water before it sets. CRL White Dap® Latex Window Glazing Compound dries to touch in two hours. Typical dry time required before painting is three to seven days depending on temperature and relative humidity. The white color compound can be painted with latex paint after three days. Oil-based paint may be applied after one week. Smooth glazing to an angle that sheets water. SPECIFICATIONS: Coverage: 33 linear feet (10 m) at 3/8" x 1/4" (9.5 mm x 6 mm) triangular cross section per cartridge. Meets ASTM Spec C-669-95. LIMITATIONS: Do not thin glazing compound. Do not apply when air or sash temperatures are below 40º F (4º C). Its smooth, consistent texture can be applied directly from the cartridge, requires no kneading, and resists shrinking and cracking. The 10.1 fl. oz. (300 ml) tube features a unique, rectangular shaped nozzle for uniform beads. Excess glazing can be removed with soap and water before it sets. Dries to touch in two hours. Typical dry time required before painting is three to seven days depending on temperature and relative humidity. The white color compound can be painted with latex paint after three days. Oil-based paint may be applied after one week. Surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of frost. When re-glazing, remove all old putty and bedding. Smooth glazing to an angle that sheets water.
