This CRL Variable Speed Glass Drilling Machine was designed and constructed to be completely portable, for use at the shop or on the job site. The drill can easily be positioned directly over any area to be drilled. Rubber leg caps hold the machine firmly to the drilling surface and the legs are balanced, as well as, positioned to insure that drills cut into glass in a precise and even manner. Delron guides prevent drill head wobble and insure that the drill head moves smoothly. The finger tip variable speed control unit allows glass drilling at variable speeds up to 1,400 rpm. The drill can be used on all thicknesses of glass, porcelain, or plastic. When drilling into glass, frequently lift the drill bit to allow the coolant to flow into the cutting area. The wide speed range of the unit enables the operator to use various types and sizes of glass drills. Recommended sizes of brass or steel tube drills are from 1/2 to 6 inches (12 to 152 millimeters), utilizing speeds up to 1,400 rpm.
