A shallow well jet package (or jet kit) is required for use with a convertible jet pump in order to allow it to pull water from a shallow well setup (25' depth-to-water maximum). The package contains the parts needed to bolt to the nose of the convertible pump, allowing it to use a single drop pipe into the water source. Without the proper jet package attached to the nose of the pump, it will not be able to reach its designed operating performance.
