CRL One Step Primer for CRL/Somaca Series Urethanes has endless benefits. It reacts with the glass frit and urethane to provide a secure bond. Clean new glass first with Cat. No. PWR22 Automotive Glass Cleaner, and then apply One Step Primer to the frit with a lint-free wipe. Apply One Step Primer to bare pinchweld metal scratches or rust areas that have been properly repaired prior to priming. CRL One Step Primer for CRL/Somaca Series Urethanes can be used on glass supplied without black ceramic frit to improve adhesion. It must be used prior to any adhesive application to prevent glass displacement. Cleaning and Primers: 1. After removing all of the old urethane to within 1/16" (1.5 mm) of the pinchweld, prepare the pinchweld following the procedures outlined in the CRL Technicians Training Manual. Prime these areas with Cat. No. 1214006 One Step Primer. 2. Clean the inside of the windshield with a lint-free towel Cat. No. 1550 and Cat. No. PWR22 Automotive Glass Cleaner. 3. Apply Cat. No. 1214006 One Step Primer to frit area with a lint-free towel and allow primer to dry for a minimum of 10 minutes, but no more than 8 hours before installing adhesive. This procedure must be performed above 40°F (4°C). 4. Apply Cat. No. 1214006 One Step Primer to encapsulated moldings if they are part of the bonding area.
