CRL One Hour Urethane Adhesive is a high viscosity, high modulus, low non-conductive super fast curing adhesive with excellent decking that passes or exceeds U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards FMVSS212 (Barrier Crash Test) and FMVSS208 (Occupant Crash Protection) in its most severe interpretation with dual air bags and unrestrained dummies. The fast curing formula is tack free in only 10 minutes and offers Safe Drive Away Time in as little as one hour at 0°F (-17.8°C). Cold applied, however it can be heated in a Urethane Oven to help gun the high viscosity formula.
Cleaning and Primers CRL Urethanes are supported by a one-step primer and aerosol cleaner formulated for use in all aspects of glass bonding, including the glass frit, pinchweld, and EPDM/PVC moldings.
1. After removing all of the old urethane to within 1/16" (1.5 mm) of the pinchweld, prepare the pinchweld following the procedures outlined in the CRL Technicians Training Manual. Prime these areas with Cat. No. 1214006 One Step Primer.
2. Clean the inside of the windshield with a lint-free towel Cat. No. 1550 and Cat. No. PWR22 Automotive Glass Cleaner.
3. Apply the same Cat. No. 1214006 One Step Primer to the frit area with a lint-free towel and allow to dry for a minimum of 10 minutes, but no more than 8 hours before installing the adhesive. This procedure must be performed above 40°F (4°C).
NOTE: One Step Primer must be used prior to any adhesive application to prevent glass displacement. Failure to do so may result in personal injury or property damage.
4. Apply Cat. No. 1214006 One Step Primer to encapsulated moldings if they are part of the bonding area.
Packaged in metal cartridges with 4-1/2" (114 mm) long screw-on Cone Nozzles included in every case. 12 cartridges per case. Important Notes: For use by trained applicators only. Please refer to CRL Technician Training Manual, Technical Spec Data Sheet and Material Safety Data Sheet before using product. Cat. No. 1214006 One Step Primer must be used prior to any adhesive application to prevent glass displacement. Failure to do so may result in personal injury or property damage. Store cartridges closed and upright when not in use. Store between 65°F (18°C) and 75°F (24°C) in dry conditions.
