Handle ties physically join the handles of 2 adjacent 1-pole breakers creating a 2-pole independent trip breaker. This handle tie device is one of many load center accessories available. This device is to be used in CH load centers only.

  • Installation of the handle tie should be done prior to installing the breakers in the load center
  • Slide breaker handles into the handle tie, tabs in the handle tie fit into the breaker handle slot
  • Turn off power ahead of the load center before installing the handle tie bar
  • Use with 2 one pole CH breakers only
