Double Hung Vent Window Security Locks works well on double hung windows and limits their opening. It allows airflow or ventilation in spite of keeping it safe from intruders. Very popular for Victorian, Craftsman, and similar older home designs that employ wood-framed double-hung windows. Double Hung Vent Window Security Locks are fabricated in heavy gauge stainless steel for added strength and durability. It is a rock solid construction and does not bend or get damaged. It is vastly superior to wedge shape vent locks as it has no hinge to slip out over time. Each package includes set of 2 vent window locks, 2 strike plates, and all screws required for installation. Installation tip: You may need to shave off a bit of wood on the window corresponding to the channel the stop pin slides in. This will let the pin slide freely, without rubbing and scraping the wood underneath. This will contribute to a much easier window functioning, and is a very simple task. DS 06/27/2016
