Repairing a roof seems like no easy feat. Asphalt shingles? That sounds even more complicated. Actually, it’s not as hard as it sounds. It may not even be hard at all! Depending on your level of expertise, this may be an easy or a super easy job. If you’re at the beginner level, you can still qualify this as a super easy job. So let’s get started.
What you’ll need:

- Roofing nails
- Roofing adhesive
The 5-Step Process
- Lift the damaged shingle, then pull the nails out and remove it.
- Lift the tab above the damaged area with the prybar.
- Cut the new asphalt shingle to length and slide into position.
- Fasten the shingle with the roofing nails.
- Coat the head of each nail with adhesive and press the shingle in place.
