This CRL 3M Weatherban Sealant Tape is a supported synthetic rubber sealant in ribbon form. It offers a watertight, gasket-like seal in applications such as bedding glass, around window and door frames, etc. It is also used as a metal seam sealer in overlap seams, building panels, rain gutters, and can be used in conjunction with mechanical fasteners. It offers outstanding resistance to weathering, and develops good adhesion to glass, metal, and most other surfaces. The 100% solids formula contains no solvents, so there is no toxicity or shrinkage. The product is UV stable, non-permeable to gases and moisture, and has a limited cold flow under load. Weatherban Tape can be repositioned during application, stays in position vertically or overhead, and requires no special application equipment. Maintains tack at temperatures as low as 40 DegreeF (4 DegreeC) permitting application in unheated areas. This in the next generation product that replaced the perennially popular EC1202T Tape.
