GE® UltraGlaze® is a one-component, high strength neutral cure sealant specially designed and tested for structurally glazed curtainwall applications.
Basic Uses
UltraGlaze® features include primerless adhesion to many building substrates. Specific substrate testing is required on all structurally glazed projects. UltraGlaze® is compatible with insulating glass sealants, has low odor, a long tooling time, and is non-corrosive. This material can also be used as the weatherseal in glass-to-glass butt joints.
Comparable Sealants
Dow Corning®: 795, 995. Tremco®: Proglaze® SSG, Spectrem® 2. Pecora: 895.
Limitations
Structural glazing applications require that GE® Silicones give written approval of the use of UltraGlaze® SSG4000 sealant for each building project. No blanket approval is given by GE® Silicones for structural glazing applications. Check cartridge label and Specification Data Sheet for additional limitations.
